Why Fight Exploitation?

The way our society views animals may seem paradoxical. Some are pampered, admired for their beauty, and are considered members of the family, while others are subjected to the worst possible treatments.

This apparent contradiction can be explained: in every case, animals are an owned commodity, and their fate depends entirely on the owner’s interests. Even though these animals feel pleasure, pain and suffering just as much as we do, their interests are rarely considered.
